Finally theres my all-time fav, Little Charlie’s Clam Bar. Southern Italian, basic no frills pasta joint. It was a mess inside. Lots of old world, wooden tables and chairs, with red and white checkered table clothes. I loved listening to tourists and first timers asking why is there a sweet, medium or hot marinara sauce, and just didn’t get it. Between that, and the decor, most walked away without knowing how good it was. Sadly I heard they shutdown. Fortunately I read the chefs from the old world spot popped up in WillyB. It is the first place I will visit when I get back to NY. The menu alone screams Litte Charlie was here. Desy’s Clam Bar
